Aquila was a French company from the late 1980s specialising in scenery pieces and furniture for castles. The company appeared around 1988/1989, founded by Philippe Segard and was operating till the very beginning of the 1990s. It was distributed in France by Ludodélire and may not have been sold outside of France. It produced also different figures, both from a fantasy and a SF range. After this company's demise, some years later, a new Aquila (1990s) appeared, run by the same owner but which had no connection to the first Aquila.
