Scotia Grendel, originally Scotia Micro Models, was founded by Robbie Fergusson in November 1985, in Letham, Anugs. It was also known as Scotia Enterprises - notably as the manufacturers and distributors of Acropolis Design miniatures. The company owned the old Jacobite Miniatures fantasy range from the mid-1980's onwards and purchased the Kryomek games system from Grendel in 1996, becoming Scotia Grendel by 1998 and they are the current producers of the Grendel Resin box sets. In 1998, the business relocated to Hallgreen Castle, Inverbervie. The Void 1.1 range (sci-fi) was bought from Urban Mammoth in 2006 and the Xyston range (Historical) from Xyston Miniatures was added in 2007. For more details, see the company's own history page.
