WizKids Games was founded in 2000 by Jordan Weisman (ex-FASA) but was sold to Topps, Inc. in 2003, then Tornante in 2007 and has been owned by NECA since 2009. The founders took the rights to Shadowrun with them when they left FASA. WizKids' first property was Mage Knight which introduced the Clix system (since renamed the Combat Dial System) which has been reused in all their Collectible Miniatures Games since.
