Xyston Miniatures was originally a historical range produced by I-Kore. It was spun-off into its own company in December 2003 but was later acquired by Scotia Grendel in 2007. The miniatures were designed to tie-in with the rule sets DBA (De Bellis Antiquitatis) and DBM (De Bellis Multitudinis) published by Wargames Research Group.
