Corgi is a brand name of a range of diecast vehicles originally produced by Mettoy Co. Ltd.. The company went in to liquidation in 1984 and following a management buy out the brand was sold to Mattel in 1989. In 1995 the company became independent and then was bought in 2008 by Hornby.
