Dixon Miniatures was established in 1976 by Trevor A. Dixon when he left Hinchcliffe Models to form Dixon Miniatures. The first Dixon figures were a range of 54mm scale Napoleonics, then a range of Mongols and then a range of Samurai (inspired by the prints of Roald Knutsen). Sculptors included: Trevor Dixon, Mark Copplestone & Mike Owen (who both started their careers at Dixon) and also Tim Hallam (15mm Samurai) and Lloyd Price (Dwarves). The company website has PDF files of all the old catalogues.
