Gripping Beast was originally set up by brothers Colin Patten and Duncan Patten and along with Studio Tomahawk are the publishers of the SAGA historical table top skirmish wargame set in the Viking Era. [1] They produce 28mm historical figures to support this game as well a several other historical ranges. One of their labels is The Woodbine Design Company (2008) [2] which is a catch-all category for off-brand figure ranges including a Sci-Fi range as well as some usefull WWI figures and a Specials range.
