JR Miniatures was founded by Robert Rumfelt in 1989 producing wargaming buildings and terrain. The company was run on a part-time basis until April 2000 when they started full-time operations. In the UK, Magister Militum imported the ranges and they still have some scenery items for sale (2020). The company was bought by Hobby Game Design, Inc in 2012 and continued on until the end of 2017 when the webstore was shut down. [3,4]. Robert started Novus Design Studio in 2014.
