Biography

John Blanche worked as an illustrator, figure designer and painter who has worked predominantly for Games Workshop. He was Art Editor for White Dwarf and Warlock magazines in the mid-80’s. John was also known for his conversions and painting of miniatures and, although infrequent, John Blanche did also sculpt miniatures. [4,5]

Sculpting

The Necromunda Ganger appeared in ‘Eavy Metal’ (White Dwarf 121) from January 1990 and Ratspike. The write up next to the image quotes John “is my first attempt at building a model from scratch”.


Painting and Conversions

The following miniatures were painted and converted by John Blanche and date from the late 70’s / early 80’s.
