Harlequin Miniatures produced this Lord of the Rings range. They licensed the Lord Of the Rings trademark from Tolkien Enterprises and released this short-lived series of figures before losing the rights to Citadel Miniatures. The range was rebranded as Legions of the Realms with alternative names for the figures. For the blister packs it was originally standard to have a Command pack of 2 figures followed by a Champion pack of 1 figure. Later on, these packs were joined together as a single Command pack of 3 figures with the product code for the Champion pack going out of use. A large number of regiment box sets were sold: There were at least 24 of these sets, and in many cases only the later, "non-Tolkien" name is known. Set 23 is missing from the list. The range was later sold to Scotia Grendel, who once again changed all the names and made the range their Generic Fantasy Models line.
