About the Range

This series was originally produced in the mid to late 1980s. It appears in the 1987 Hobby Products catalog and uses numerical codes M30xx and M33xx. They were introduced into the UK by Tabletop Games and are listed as a 'new' MetalMagic range called 'Arabian Knights' in an advert in White Dwarf #86 (February 1987) but, by the time of the 1990 catalog, Hobby Products had apparently removed the series. These 1980's miniatures had irregular, unmarked, textured bases.

By 1994 a few of the figures in the series had been redone to include the flat, disc bases of the 1990's MetalMagic ranges but the majority of the Arabian figures still had the old style. This is evident when Mega Miniatures released the series in the 2000's, some figures had new style bases, but most were without. This page documents the original figures with irregular bases only. The updated versions were released as part of C1502 Oriental Adventurers, C1503 Monsters and C1504 Diorama Sets.
