Monarch Miniatures was founded in 1977. It was run by August J. Benkert ( - 2015) and, early on, produced figures made by the British artist, Cliff Sanderson - they sold his series of Pirates of Tortuga and the Pan Range among others. They also produced some historical "Bugle & Guidon" ranges. It is possible that some moulds went to a company called Medieval Products and then onto Perth Pewter. [1]
