4542 Night Horrors
From Lost Minis Wiki
Contents |
This page shows a topical listing of Citadel’s Night Horrors line. This range was a non-human, 25-28mm scale, metal figure line designed or imported from their fantasy lines.
Many of the figures were originally conceived for a potential Call of Cthulhu range, but Citadel lost out on the licence to Grenadier. But apart from the Fishman and the Slime, there really aren’t any truly Lovecraftian horrors here - the rest are classic fantasy fare. The human counterparts to these horrors were released under the CC1 Gothic Horror line.
For a product code listing see: C18, 1304, 1305.
Note: Figures marked with * might not be part of this line, but they are from the same Ethereals line as most of the established Night Horrors that are not so marked, and so are highly suspect.

07453 Series
The 074530/28 (130423) miniature below is often mistaken for the much earlier pre-slotta Spectre miniature from 1983. The earlier figure is included here and can be seen in the First Citadel Compendium under the C18 Undead line. The only difference being the solid base and also that the earlier miniature has a knife in its right hand. Oddly I thought I'd seen slotta versions with and without knife, but more than likely this is my memory playing tricks on me.

Of note Wight 6 was Actually an ME Lord of the Rings (LOTR) Barrow Wight. It was shown in the 1991 catalogue under the Ethereals range with many of the Night Horrors, hence the *. I have two of these, one that states Barrow Wight on the slotta and one that just has WI with the rest removed. The miniature is mint but the other wording could have been removed when someone forced it into a plastic slotta base in the past. Neither has a date on the back, although both almost have something that looks like it has been removed. With other LOTR miniatures, when GW lost the licence to produce them, a few turned up in later ranges with wording redacted, so I mention it here for that reason, as it may be of interest to someone.
