History of Regiments of Renown
- 1984: 'RR' boxed sets were first advertised in 1984. [1]. The earlier box sets in the 'RR' series were sold with 1 of 3 command figures and you had to buy multiple box sets to get all of them.
- 1987: the 'RRD' boxed sets started appearing using new slotta-based models and all four command figures were included in a box. A resculpted version of 'Bugman's Dwarf Rangers' and the Nightmare Legion. [2] appeared at this time and several of the older sets were briefly re-issued with a new slotta-based champion.
- 1998 Citadel re-used the "Regiments of Renown" concept for their Dogs of War (WFB) ranges.
