Rose Miniatures was founded by sculptor Russell Gammage and his wife Mary. They produced military and historical figures - including some of the earliest specifically for wargaming. The company existed from 1953 until 1983 when they retired. The business was eventually sold off to James Robinson of Fusilier Miniatures in the late 1980s. The ranges changed hands several times in the 1990s. John Eden Studios purchased the rights to the 54mm figures in 2001. The wargame figure moulds (30mm and below) were later purchased by Amazon Miniatures and then Garrison.
