The address on the back of the blister packs is a PO box in Boise Idaho. The Groo figures date from sometime in the mid-1980's. Thegrouch 12:44, 26 September 2010 (MST)

SoL also shows a Boise address, though a proper address rather than the PO box (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tpope/sol/dark-horse/history.html). I'm not sure exactly how far back Dark Horse goes, but SoL also has a reference to an ad in Dragon magazine #78, October 1983 (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~tpope/sol/dark-horse/references.html). Ebay seller 'dwtripp' (DW's PAN-DIMENSIONAL YARD SALE) is Wolfgang Trippe, original co-owner of of Dark Horse Miniatures (along with Ian Lungold). He nearly always has some Dark Horse figures for sale in his ebay store. Some misc. postings of his that touch on Dark Horse history:

Trippe also wrote the 'Excursions in the Bizarre' RPG:
