Verminites and Mouselings

While under Reaper's ownership, Verminites and Mouselings were added. They're on the MiniFigs site now also.

Preserving Base Code Markings

I just wanted to compare these myself (and to leave the code up for pics). I'm sure you're right about these being repros of other figs, but it's preserving the base code markings that I'm concerned with. Better to have all the info available than be shy.

I'll try to get to this tomorrow. --Mysticat 17:53, 5 April 2011 (CDT)

It certainly can't hurt to have another set of eyes checking, especially with the 1156 pixies. As a strict rule, I never adjust the base markings unless I'm looking at a figurine straight out of a newly opened blister, to avoid the chance of loose minis having been mixed up or the like. I just pulled both sets of gargoyles (that I had recently opened), and they're identical. Out of my 1249 set, only one version has a base mark, which is 1352B.
For 1156 vs 1255 another check would help. I don't have 1156 myself, but the 1156 codes come from the bases of the 1255 I just opened.
Also, it would be good to check 1251. My blister (the one in the image) contains 6 identical wolves, clearly marked 1356. Wolf 1251a.v1 looks the same in the pics, except for the angle of the tail (which is easily bent), but maybe I'm missing a difference.
Of course, sometimes the same version from the same blister will have different markings, as in 1326 or FF52, etc.
The next batch of Dungeon Dweller blisters I'll be opening look like they also include several from older lines, so we'll have more of the same situation. Bedoingy
Okay, good to know... will compare your info with mine and let you know what I find out. I've seen the same DD sculpt on two or more figs, labelled with different base markings. Didn't know if you'd seen that, and didn't want to annoy you, but I do want to get it right. If mine are labelled differently than yours, then we must give both pc's. Glad we're on the same wavelength. :) --Mysticat 19:25, 5 April 2011 (CDT)
just added links from 1260 to 1349, 1263 to 1353, 1268 to 1355. I left the 1200 series codes, but mine have only the 1300 series markings Bedoingy 13:10, 13 April 2011 (CDT)

in my 1297, the dwarf with flail is 1297B, crossbow could be 1297D, but both the dwarf with axe and the dwarf with hammer are 1297A, neither 1297C Bedoingy 17:20, 29 April 2011 (CDT)

Sculptors' names on base markings

Hey Mysticat, some of the conversions of sculptor name to hyperlink have obscured the instances where the name was actually marked on the base. Can we keep the base markings and the sculptor attributions separate? E.g. when the sculptor's name is on the base, leave the original marking displayed while converting it into a link to the sculptor's page? Something like: [[Steve Bissett|BISSETT]] Bedoingy 12:47, 4 July 2011 (CDT)

"Your suggestion is intuitively reasonable but some of the info about the sculptor is going to go missing, and that could confuse people snagging code. It wouldn't do for editors to snag [[Steve Bissett|BISSETT]] for other pages, confusing the issue of whether this was part of the base name or just the sculptor's - it could get changed indescriminantly across many pages and variations, to the point where some links are corrupted and won't work. If it's a base marking, it should be stated as such (I've let the Heritage pages alone about this because the product codes are their figure codes, and it's pretty much understood by anyone dealing with Heritage.) Going back into the history, I only found one instance when the sculptor's name was drawn out of the base marking statement: 1259 Frost Giant. and that was me, thinking whoever posted "BISSETT" was simply shouting the name of the sculptor. I've fixed it with a <small><span style="color:#008080">Base: "1259 BISSETT"</span> statement, to be clear and distinguished from the case of a figure having a numerical code that is different from the product code and yet not stamped on the base. Making it colour-coded and not gray holds the info together, but I'm not sure the colour I've chosen is what Colin would want. Does the marking on the frost giant have "BISSETT" or "Bissett" marked on it? We should try to keep the case consistent - I assumed it was all caps. Other suggestions?--Mysticat 09:11, 10 July 2011 (CDT)

1200 / 1300 Codings

  1. I've reformated this page a bit - mainly moving the Reaper notes to the end - but there is a comment at the top that "officially this was their 1200 series line, but despite most blisters having that numeration some of them had 1300 series numbers instead because they were recruited from the Fantasy Fantastics line". Is this correct from Heritage's point-of-view? It seems that all the Heritage figures were consistently 12xx and that only the Reaper codings used 13xx. - Cattwister 07:35, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Some of the figures pulled directly out of unopened 12xx blisters had 13xx base markings Bedoingy 15:24, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Ah yes, I was worried Reaper had collided into this page and confused things - turns out it was I who was confused. :-D - Cattwister 19:26, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Harlan

  1. What does the word "harlan" mean? It's added to a few figures on this page... - Cattwister 07:35, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

It was inscribed on the bottom of the bases -- the sculptor maybe? Bedoingy 15:24, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Yep - that makes sense and I've tracked them down to the excellent ddwzrd.com website - worth checking out if you've not seen it - especially the interviews section. - Cattwister 19:26, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Pack 1288 Name Change

  1. Thurs. Oct 29 2020 - In the Heritage/Dungeon Dwellers listings, I changed the name of the 1288 pack from "Devils Barbed" to "Lesser Devils", which was the name listed for the pack in my Heritage Wholesale Fall 1981 print catalog and Royal Guardsman (Heritage's Retail and Mailorder Store) Spring 1981 catalog. I have found no listing with the name "Devils Barbed."

The blister itself is marked Devils Barbed Bedoingy 05:37, 30 October 2020 (GMT)
