Hobby Products produced this range. The Dark Eye (Das Schwarze Auge, DSA) is a role-playing game originally published by Schmidt Spiel & Freizeit GmbH and Droemer Knaur Verlag in 1984. This 19xx series of figures was produced sometime between 1984 and 1989 (when Droemer left the project). These figures were sold in individual blister packs with a blue backing card. The cards stated on the back 'designed exclusively for The Dark Eye RPG by Metal Magic'. Most figures were sculpted by Josef Ochmann with Michael Immig providing at least one of the Dwarfs. All figures use the irregular style of bases. No official catalog exists for this range but a compilation of what is currently known can be found at Selemer Tagebücher.[1]. There were 17 sets in the series, each containing 2 or 3 figures with possible variants - so the size of the range is uncertain. One figure, 1904d, however, appears to be a repackage of a regular Metal Magic figure - M1002d: there may be others. All letter designations and figure descriptions used on this page are unofficial. For other DSA figures produced by Hobby Products and FanPro see The Dark Eye (FanPro).
