The Space Gamer

The Space Gamer magazine was originally published by Metagaming Concepts in 1975. Steve Jackson Games became the publisher in 1980 starting with issue 27. The final issue was number 76 published in Sep/Oct 1985. Digital versions of the SJG-era copies are still available. [2]
