-Hi, thanks for helping out with the wiki. :-) But, but, but, but...+Hi, fyi: I've added the new Citadel page Collector Series (Citadel) for those blister pack images that you have uploaded. We might move them to their own individual pages if we get enough information about them but this will do for now to organize them. What do you think? - Cattwister 06:16, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

-On your recent images, you have added "used by permission" text and a hyperlink linking to eBay users. The best way to do this is to use the OARC template ( like "ORC, get it? :-D ):+
-
+
-Miniatures USA+
-
+
- +
-which turns into:+
-Miniatures USA+
- +
- +
-And the link takes you, not directly to their eBay store, but to our Online Contributors page where there is an entry (I just added it) for "Miniatures USA". On that page the link goes directly to eBay. I do it this way for 5 reasons:+
- +
-# OARC is considerably shorter than typing out the full "used by permission" text every time.+
-# It gathers all of our contributors onto one page so anyone can easily find all of our contributors' eBay stores (or wherever) and go buy stuff or find new images from them that we can use.+
-# It deters people (and there have been incidents of this) from deliberately adding "now available at XYZ shop" spam links.+
-# It allows us to change globally a shop link for a contributor. for example if "Miniatures USA" needed to rebrand on eBay as "Minis USA" (for some crazy eBay reason) or they wanted to open an off-eBay webstore then we could change it in one place and not have dead links everywhere.+
-# It demonstrates that, while not perfect or up-to-date, we do take copyright seriously as an issue.+
- +
- +
-We also cannot use images we don't have permission for. That is someone else's content and we can't use it unless they say so. You've done great and asked a few eBay sellers but I can tell from the text of 3 (only!) images, that you uploaded recently, that they are "suspect":+
- +
-* :Image:Harlequin-LRB010-box.jpg via Tolkien Gateway - are they okay with this?+
-* :Image:Harlequin-LRB004-box.jpg uncredited - I think you forgot to credit "syllander" here. :-)+
-* :Image:Harlequin-LRB005-box.jpg via Marktplaats - has the seller agreed to this? is it you? :-D+
- +
- +
-User Geoharpst has done the same with these 2 ( I'm directing them to this page as well :-) ): +
- +
-* :Image:Marauder-MM73-1I.jpg via CCM - is this you?+
-* :Image:Marauder-MM73-1.jpg via a blog and posted by Dreamfish, are they okay with this use?+
- +
- +
-That said, I am aware there are images on the wiki that violate this policy - I am just being tardy in tidying them up - but it will happen. I also occasionally recover logos from archive.org for companies that no longer appear to be in business - but even then I still don't grab images of figures like this. I believe that copyright isn't lost just because the website is down / out of business - but I argue that logos are fair use for wikis.+
- +
- +
-TLDR: use the OARC template, please.+
