Vulcan Miniatures (aka Vulcan Models) existed in the mid-1970s and produced spaceship models that were initially marketed by other companies (Anshell Miniatures, Dave Casciano of Attack International Wargaming Association and Gamescience). Later, they sold the miniatures themselves. They also changed their name to Battleline Miniatures (not to be confused with Battleline Publications or the NZ company of the same name). The minis came with clear plastic rods as posts and Star Trek insignia bases. See [1] 'Star Ranger's Unidentified Miniatures'] and [2] "Starlog #10" from Dec 1977, page 15 for an advert for Anshell Miniatures where the Vulcan Miniatures are being sold under the Attack Wargaming banner. The Star Ranger website also quotes Joe [Passarelli]: "Battleline has never died, all masters and molds still exist with the designer Joe Buscaino". According to TMP [3], Alternative Armies picked up the Typhoon games system from Vulcan Models.
