Wargames Illustrated magazine was first published in 1987 and was conceived and owned by ex. Games Workshop employee Duncan McFarlane. The magazine is now available in both paper and online versions with back issues available through their website. In 2015 they started releasing an ongoing series of limited edition figures under the name Giants in Miniature.
