Silver Anniversary Miniatures

Sculptors: Chaz Elliott, Dennis Mize, Jason Wiebe, Jim Johnson, Neil McKenzie

To celebrate the Silver Anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons, Wizards of the Coast decided to release some miniatures. They hired some of the industry's best-known names to do the sculpts.

Building on the success of this release, WotC released a line of slotta based, D&D 3.5 Miniatures, some of which were collected in the Heroes I and Monsters I boxed sets, followed by the new revision of Chainmail. Some of the Chainmail miniatures were eventually released in the boxes Heroes II and III, Monsters II and III, Dragons I and II, and City of the Spider Queen. After some time, WotC switched to another new format, prepainted plastics.
