Citadel's Fantasy Specials range appeared in Citadel catalogs prior to 1983. Several figures in the range were redesigned or replaced and so there are version 1 and version 2 of a lot of figures. The original White Dwarf (FS17) was first released in this set. The range was listed up until the Dragon Catalog where the 'C' Series coding took over; many figures were carried over into the new sets. Some of the scenery models continued to be produced by Citadel in their much later Arcane Architecture series. Initially, Ral Partha also produced these figures in the USA and this included two Zombies (below) that were not available in the UK. Later, when the business partnership between Citadel Miniatures and Ral Partha ended, Ral Partha maintained the brand name but released their own versions of the models - see the Fantasy Specials page for these.

- FS25 was originally "6 pcs" but changed to "5 pcs" in the 1982 Blue Catalogue (there are only 5 types known).
- FS70: the US catalogs list this as the "Brawny Adventurer".
- FS46v2 was FS48v2 but is taken as FS46v2 as it is back-referenced in the Dragon Catalogue.
- FS48v2 is taken as "Knight Errant in Plate Armour" as it is back-referenced in the Dragon Catalogue & CCM. [6]
- FS53 has 3 versions according to CCM [6] (but can't spot the 1st one on SoL)
