Combat Cards (1988)
Combat Cards were developed by Jervis Johnson [2,3] game designer for Games Workshop in the late eighties and are similar to Top Trumps in the way that they are played. Two additional sets of rules for a more complex game were included in articles within White Dwarf 114 (Attack!) and 115 (Charge!) from 1989. On the back of some of the front cards there was also a Bonus Game. Each card had a photograph of a Citadel Miniature and provided a useful guide to painting. Several of the miniatures shown on the cards were conversions of miniatures from the existing ranges and a few appear to be unreleased. More information can be found on the Citadel Combat Card Miniatures Facebook Group.
Games Workshop later released additional editions in 1995, 1999 and 2017.
